Databases such as Medline, CINAHL, PsycINFO, EMBASE and the Cochrane Library.
Access to the Library's services & electronic resources from outside the hospital is via the Library web page. Access is restricted to hospital staff who will be asked to log in with their HE number and network or Active Directory password.
The collection comprises approximately 12 000 books and 31 000 periodical titles focussing on clinical and diagnostic medicine, nursing, allied health, and management.

Membership of the Library is free to all staff of the hospital, and tertiary students while they are based at the hospital.
Assistance is available for those who would like assistance with database or internet searching, either on a one-to-one basis or by appointment. Alternatively, you may wish to attend 'Introduction to Information Retrieval', held on the first Wednesday of each month. Please phone the Library on 9224 2395 to make a booking.
Purchasing for your Department
Email RPH Library, including the details of the item to be purchased, name of your Head of Department and the cost centre to be charged. Please include as much information as you have about the item. Advantages of buying through the library include: cheaper prices, full access to books held within the hospital through the catalogue, and therefore the prevention of unnecessary duplication of resources.
Videoconferencing in the Library
